How to add a user to Google Ads Account

Updated: Sep 12, 2023

So you’ve set up your Google Ads account and need to add users to your account but you’re getting this error message:

“This email address isn't in an allowed domain. To make changes to the allowed domain list, update your security settings.”

This happens because the email provider of the address you’re trying to add is triggering an error. This is because Google Ads is super protective and they’re making sure you’re not adding email accounts that you shouldn’t.

So how do I fix this?

It’s super simple to fix this. All you need to do is click on “Security” at the top.

Here's where you can specify which email domains you'll allow in your account. Add in any new ones here. For example, if your email address is mike@pizzahut.com you'd add in "pizzahut.com" to allow any emails from that domain to be added to the account.

Now simply click "Save" and you're done!
